Curriculum Vitae
Academic biography
After my studies in Communication and Media Science at the University of Hohenheim (intermediate diploma), I studied Speech Communication and Linguistics at the University of Halle, where I obtained my diploma in 2004 (Diplom-Sprechwissenschaftler, 'with disctintion'). For my dissertation on "imagination and animation" in conversation I received my Ph. D. in Romance Philology at the University of Freiburg (Dr. phil., 'summa cum laude'). Subsequently I worked in several national and international research projects on linguistic variation in spoken and written Spanish and French. I also held positions as coordinator of the DFG Research Training Group on "Frequency Effects in Language" and of the "Hermann Paul School of Linguistics" in Freiburg. At the same University, I obtained my "Habilitation" in Romance Philology in 2018 for a study on "macro constructions" in spoken French. In August 2021 I was offered positions for professorships in Romance Linguistics at the University of Osnabrück and the University of Regensburg. In November 2021 I was accepted into the DFG Heisenberg programme. I accepted the offer of the University of Osnabrück, starting in April 2022 with a Heisenberg-Professorship.
